Free-form Cropping
When you need custom dimensions or just want to remove unwanted areas, free-form cropping gives you complete control.
- Select "Free" or "Custom" from the aspect ratio dropdown
- Click and drag on the image to define your crop area
- Drag the corners or edges to adjust the selection
- Drag the center to reposition the crop area
- Click "Apply Crop" when satisfied
Tip: Use the grid overlay (rule of thirds) to help compose your crop. Key subjects often look best when placed along grid lines or at intersection points.
Rotation Options
Rotate your images to correct orientation or create artistic effects:
- 90 degrees clockwise - Rotates the image a quarter turn to the right
- 90 degrees counter-clockwise - Rotates the image a quarter turn to the left
- 180 degrees - Flips the image upside down
- Custom angle - Enter any angle from -180 to +180 degrees. The image will be rotated and optionally auto-cropped to remove empty corners.
Straightening Photos
For slightly tilted photos (like a crooked horizon), use the straighten slider or enter a small angle (-15 to +15 degrees). Enable "Auto-crop" to automatically remove the empty corners that appear after rotation.
Flip Functionality
Flipping creates a mirror image along the horizontal or vertical axis:
- Flip Horizontal - Creates a mirror image, as if reflected in a vertical mirror. Left becomes right.
- Flip Vertical - Creates an upside-down mirror image, as if reflected in a horizontal mirror. Top becomes bottom.
Common Uses for Flipping
- Correcting selfies taken with front-facing cameras
- Creating symmetrical designs or patterns
- Making subjects face a different direction in layouts
- Artistic effects and compositions
Note: Flipping images with text will make the text appear backwards. Be mindful of any text, logos, or recognizable elements in your images before flipping.
